Whatsapp Unable Video Call – To make a video call, both phones must be using the supportive version of WhatsApp VC. If not, then they should update the application to the latest version via the Play Store or Itunes. Otherwise, WhatsApp will display an error message saying the contact has not updated the application.
IOS users are getting the WhatsApp version 2.16.17 update that has the new video call feature. Meanwhile, Android users can find the video call feature on WhatsApp version 2.16.352.
For iOS users, WhatsApp app can be used with iOS version 6.0 and above and for Android, the version that can still run WhatsApp is version 2.1 “Eclair” or newer. Even so, the video call feature can not work in two versions of the OS. WhatsApp requires users to use iPhone with iOS 8 and up to enjoy its video call feature. Meanwhile, Android users should at least use a phone running Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” or later to use video calls.
The presence of video calls in WhatsApp will compete with similar apps, like Google Duo and Skype. Other Other chat apps, such as Line and WeChat, also have this features.
